Roswitha Smale

Board Member

Roswitha counts a PhD in Communication from the University of Denver as one of her numerous degrees and has always been actively involved in community work and philanthropy. She served on numerous boards and chaired the board of a major Healthcare System as well as a large metropolitan Hospice both in Denver before moving to Palm Springs in 2006.

She has been actively involved with the architecture and preservation community in Palm Springs since 2012, as a board member of the Architecture and Design Council of the Palm Springs Art Museum, founder of the Architecture & Design Center and docent the Frey II House during Modernism Week. In 2015, Roswitha joined the Board of PS ModCom.

Roswitha recently moved to a historic house in Palm Springs which has been lovingly restored. For the past 30 years she has also restored a 14th Century house in a small village in Southern France where she spends part of each year.
