Peter Blackburn
Board Member
Peter Blackburn has lived in the Coachella Valley since 2001, relocating from Boston and the East Coast to adapt to the climes and creative ground of Albert Frey, Richard Neutra, and E. Stewart Williams, among other luminaries of 20th Century Modern Architecture. He has worked as an architectural designer in Miami, New Haven, Boston, and Palm Springs with several award-winning firms. Peter’s built designs range from new residences and midcentury modern renovations and interiors to churches, libraries, and collegiate buildings.
Peter earned a Masters of Architecture degree at the Yale School of Architecture and a Bachelor of Design in Architecture with Honors from the University of Florida. Peter grew up in Michigan and South Florida, and has volunteered as a Big Brother and with charities and arts institutions in Miami, Boston, and the Coachella Valley, and with PS ModCom for several years before joining the Board in 2012.
