Donations in Memory of Jonathan Skow aka Mr. Turk.

Jonathan Skow was a passionate preservationist. Along with his wife, fashion designer Trina Turk, Jonathan worked to restore and preserve four significant residences. The famous Ship of the Desert in Palm Springs, a house by J.R. Davidson in the Los Feliz district of Los Angeles, a long-lost John Lautner designed home in the Echo Park neighborhood of Los Angeles, and finally one of six original and important exhibition houses by Joseph Esherick at Sea Ranch in Northern California.

In addition, he and Trina were generous donors to the Palm Springs Art Museum’s Architecture and Design Center.

Donate to Support Preservation

Jonathan’s recent passing saddens us all. One of his last wishes was that donations in his memory be directed to a list of organizations, one of which was the Palm Springs Modern Committee.
